Analyst, Programs & Controls
Primary responsibility is for the analytical support for Engineering activities across the enterprise. Duties will include supporting the development of Engineering documents, document maintenance and standardization, tracking of Engineering training programs, development and creation of scorecards for monthly/quarterly reporting on Engineering initiatives, and other support tasks for all LDCs. Position will also provide support for AGSC, AGLC/CGC and VNG Engineering leadership on budgets, financial metrics, project tracking, audit compliance, and other reporting and analysis as necessary.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Engineering leadership and key engineers at each LDC in the creation, revision, documentation, and maintenance of Engineering process and procedure documents including Company Engineering Guides.
Coordinate and consolidate Engineering training documentation and programs across the enterprise.
Develop and provide monthly tracking of all (AGLC/CGC, VNG, and Nicor) Engineering Design personnel training and development activities in support of ensuring a properly trained and qualified workforce.
Determine and/or develop a common location for all Engineering process and procedure documents and ensure that appropriate Engineering personnel can access the files.
Maintain versioning of key Engineering documents to help ensure consistency with current federal, state, local, and Company regulations.
Create and maintain scorecards for key Engineering initiatives used in monthly update meetings with senior management.
Review and coordinate responses to key audit and compliance reporting for AGLC/CGC/VNG including AFE overspend, OSHA & Company driven training, and other items as necessary.
Assist AGSC Engineering Director and AGLC/CGC Director of Engineering Design on monthly reporting including capital and O&M variance reporting, project tracking and other initiatives.
Assist AGSC Engineering Director with rate case and annual regulatory required capital budget filings including analytics, capital data requests, and presentations.
Create visual presentations (tables, charts, graphs, etc) of financial and program data to clarify report information.
Perform other essential functions as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• BA/BS Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or related discipline
• 3-5 years experience in financial analysis, process management, or related work
Equivalent academic education and experience
• Strong understanding of Company procedures, processes, and systems
• Utility, Natural Gas, or other energy industry experience
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft financial and budgeting systems or similar systems
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and moderate proficiency in other MS Office tools
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems
• High degree of initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Exercising sound judgment in use of oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work across a matrix organization structure with horizontal and vertical teams
• Strong attention to detail

Rare travel to other Company locations including Virginia and Illinois
