Regulatory Support Analyst - Nuclear Development (Atlanta, GA)

This position is located in Atlanta, GA and you will be required to be in the office at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA when required.

** This is an entry level to early/mid-career position.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position serves as a staff member in the GPC Nuclear Development department to support preparation of all reports and filings made to the Public Service Commission (PSC) including: Project’s Semi-Annual Reports, monthly reports, data requests and preparation of future nuclear unit filings. This position will support tracking and maintaining documents to support Vogtle 3&4 potential prudency reviews, Vogtle 3&4 PSC hearings and other nuclear regulatory filings that may impact the Vogtle 3&4 project.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide Technical Support for GPC regulatory activities as follows:

  • Preparation of PSC Reports including: Semi-Annual Reports, Monthly Reports, Data Requests

  • Support documentation for potential prudency reviews

  • Development of PSC Hearing preparation material

  • Preparation of status updates for regulatory audiences

  • Coordination of document retention requirements

  • Preparation of future unit filings including Accounting Order filings

  • Support of internal governance functions (SEC disclosures, risk management)

  • Preparation and support of ad hoc requests from various executive stakeholders of the Vogtle Project, including earnings call preparatory material, SEC disclosures, and project specific updates

  • Strong communications skills - written, oral, listening and presentation are required

  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with different levels and disciplines of Southern Company

  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment, manage multiple demands and priorities

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university/program is preferred.

  • State/Federal Regulatory interface experience preferred but NOT required

  • Strong communication and organizational skills required
