Reports to: Line Support Supervisor

Location: 62 Lake Mirror Rd., Forest Park, GA

(The position title will include Engineer if the successful candidate has an Engineering degree.)


To assist in editing, correcting and creating asset data and updating associated databases for electric transmission facilities. In addition, the individual will support hardware, database applications and GIS software applications associated with transmission line mapping, inspection, maintenance, repair and overall asset management. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrate the skills to successfully handle tasks individually.



  • The candidate must have a B.S. in GIS, geography, engineering, information technology or related field.


  • Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and manipulating data is an expectation in this role.

  • Experience with ESRI software,VB/VBA, ArcObjects, ArcSDE, RDBMS, and/or ArcGIS Server as well as ArcFM, FME, Python, Maximo, Oracle, SQL, MS Access or HTML is a plus.

  • The development and management of existing ACCESS and SQL queries for reporting is also required.


  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Also, a customer focused approach and problem-solving capability is required.

  • Occasional travel (10%) to support field personnel and learn core business is required.


  • The position will include activities in an ESRI software environment, such as data maintenance, map production, QA/QC and representing user needs during application development.

  • Candidate will update Assets in a proprietary software and be familiar with data manipulation.

  • Application end user support with internal customers with a wide variety of skills and experience levels is also required.


  • This position requires a motivated individual that can perform and initiate tasks in an independent manner to successfully handle transmission line support responsibilities.
